Whether you’re tall, short, thin or less thin, everyone can play rugby! Each posture has its own place on the field and its own job to make sure we make that try together. This makes rugby a very diverse and dynamic game. Our team consists of long-studying veterans and wandering old-internationals, but also ladies who joined fresh from the ‘young dogs’ beginners course; everyone can join us in our famous green and yellow jerseys.
Rugby is mostly about training twice a week with your friends and on Sundays crossing the entire country to play other teams. We sweat together, win together and need each other on the field. But rugby is more than sports alone!
Rugby culture is a very important aspect of our team, which we uphold by having beers in the third half with our opponents, sometimes in creative outfits. There are always girls who want to join for dinner before training, and afterwards we have a shower and a beer or a hot chocolate together in the Sports Café. This often leads to spontaneous nights out in our favourite pub Twee Keer Bellen (or the Rainbow). Besides rugby we organise team trips, monthly drinks, visit tournaments and take a weekend tour abroad. This all makes us a very close-knit team where everyone can find their place.
Feel free to join for a practice and/or a beer, we’d love to meet you!
